This week long autumnal festival of Bengal is a shinning example of secularism and the most vibrant , artistic , colorful with immense human interaction event of the world which is why it has been termed as the biggest Socio Cultural event of the world.
It is more than a festival or carnival. It is a power of rejuvenation , reunion , unabashed fervor , mother of joy , happiness and love among people from all religion , caste and creed. It is an opportunity to step out of the drudgery of everyday life and experience spiritual joy , a philosophy that does not distance religion but embraces people closer.
This event is a year long involvement & planning of conceiving a theme from ancient mythology to modern arts and executing and commissioning into temporary structures of around 400 of them in the entire city which are made of bamboo , cloth , decorative items , straw , earthen and wastage material are called “Pandals” with the help of artisians & skilled craftsman who work for at least six months every year to give it a shape.
Durga Puja is a platform of art which is an expression of the society and is nourished & enriched by the existence of creative , expressive and innovative community which you will experience while exploring Durga Puja with its creation of awe inspiring Pandals , thematic lights & idols , festive cheers and participation which easily runs short of superlatives to describe the beauty of it in all fashions.
Day1- 21 Sept ( Thursday ):
Depart from Madrid by Air India 136 departing at 22:50 hours and arriving in Delhi at 11:00 hours on 22 September, Friday (Delhi local time). Flight times 08:40 hours. Immigration and customs clearance in Delhi. You will take your luggage and check in the first level at the exit door to take Jet Airways (9W 745) departing at 14:10 hours and arriving in Varanasi at 15:35 hours. Flight 01:25 hours. Transfer from the airport to the Hotel by the coach of a / c. Check-in at Taj Gateway Varanasi.
Day 2- 22 Sept ( Friday ):
Welcome to the spiritual City of India, the oldest living city of the world. After the check in, we will quickly assemble at the Lobby at 5pm and head towards the Ganges for the evening Ganga Aarti, a ritual followed every morning before the sunrise and after the sunset. Dinner at hotel.Overnight at hotel.
Day 3- 23 Sept ( Saturday) :
Wake up call early in the morning at 3.30 am. We will leave for the Early Morning Aarti and Prayer at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and also visit the Vishwanath Temple. Cruise on the river Ganges. at the Hotel. Rest for some time. Assemble at the Lobby for Visit to Sarnath, where Gautam Buddha preached his First Dharma after attaining enlightenment . Lunch at the Hotel. Rest for some time. Check out of the Hotel and proceed to airport to connect AI 405 departing at 1650 Hours and arriving Delhi at 1830 Hours. Transfer from Airport to Hotel. Day 4- 24 Sept ( Sunday ) :
Breakfast. Visit different places of Tourist interest in and around Delhi like India Gate, a war memorial arch built in honor of 90000 soldiers who died in First world war. The Rashtrapati Bhawan, designed by the Lutens where the viceroy once stayed and now the President home. The Jama Masjid built in 1656, a Friday Mosque of huge gathering, The Red Fort. Lunch at the Hotel.
Check out of the Hotel and Proceed to Agra, 250 Kms and check in at Trident / Taj Gateway. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 5- 25 Sept (Monday):
Breakfast . Visit to Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Lunch at the Hotel. Check Out and proceed to Jaipur. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri. Check in at Trident Jaipur. Enjoy evening Cultural Show followed by dinner at hotel.
Day 6- 26 Sept (Tuesday):
Breakfast. Visit Amer Fort, located on a 4 square kilometre, 11 kms from Jaipur on a hill top and built by Raja Man Singh from 1550 to 1614. It is known for its artistic style which is a blend of Hindu and Rajput. It has large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled path as it overlooks Maota Lake.
Diwan-e-Aam or the ‘Hall of Public Audience’ is a beautiful hall which stands on two rows of ornamented pillars and opens on three sides. It is said that king used to listen to the needs and complaints of General public. ‘Diwan e-Khaas’ or the ‘Hall of Private Audience’ has delicate mosaic work in glass. In this hall, the king used to meet his special guests from other states, ministers, and his friends. Lunch at the Hotel. Afternoon visit to City Palace and Bazaar and for local shopping. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 7- 27 Sept (Wednesday):

Breakfast. Visit to the Traditional “Durga Puja ” also known as the Centuries old “Barir Puja “. Previously Durga Puja was confined to the Feudal lords commonly known as the Zamindars Durga Puja celebration. In last 100 years, it has been made public after 12 friends flock together and brought it outside the traditional house for all the people to celebrate which is known as “Barowari”. Baro means 12 and Yaari means friends, i.e, 12 friends initiated and formed a club and now there are almost 2500 Clubs that celebrates Durga Puja in the city of Kolkata and its outskirts. Lunch at the Hotel.
Evening Visit to Puja Pandals, the temporary museum of art show which transforms the city of Kolkata into world’s biggest Open Art Gallery. The awe inspiring artwork in a temporary structure, each made up of unique materials and has different themes from ancient mythology, Tribal art to Modern awareness like the GMO. It is the only temporary art gallery which is the only kind to be found in the world. During Durga Puja, Kolkata boost of around 1000 of them. Dinner at the Hotel.
Day 09 – 29 Sep (Friday):
Breakfast. Explore Kolkata, walking tour, visit to Flower market. Lunch at the Hotel. After Lunch Board a cruise around 1400 hours to visit Belur Math, where the great hindu saint Ramakrishna and his disciple Swami Vivekanada, the spiritual genius of commanding intellect and power spent to preach Hinduism. En route visit the British Calcutta structures which reflects their presence for 200 years in India where Calcutta, now known as Kolkata was the capital city for them. Evening Cultural Show of Chhau Dance and visit to Puja Pandals all across the city, experience the frenzy mood of millions of people. Pandal hopping till midnight. Dinner at the Hotel.
Day 10 – 30 Sep (Saturday):

Haridwar is thus the gateway to the two holy shrines of Shiva and Vishnu. Evening Ganga Aarti. Back to Rishikesh. Dinner at the hotel.

Breakfast. Visit to Mussorie, the Queen of the Hill Stations (80 Kms). Spend the entire day. Lunch at a Local Restaurant. Back to Rishikesh in the evening. Dinner at the Hotel.
